In contrast to conventional residential rehabilitation centers that prioritise group therapy while offering limited focus on individual requirements, our alcohol outpatient rehab sets itself apart by providing you with your own dedicated team of experts in the field of alcohol addiction treatment.
Over the six week, outpatient rehab, you will work with a leading New Zealand Psychotherapist who specialises in Alcohol Use Disorder, commonly referred to as alcoholism.
The Addiction Clinics’ esteemed clinicians have an exceptional grasp of Alcohol Use Disorder and will swiftly address the fundamental cause of your addiction.
Complementing the Psychotherapist’s expertise is a senior addiction counselor. This dedicated professional focuses intently on relapse prevention. Their experience equips you with the tools and strategies to maintain sobriety long-term.
A sober coach, also recognised as a peer support individual, is someone who has navigated their own journey through addiction. They have successfully achieved and maintained sobriety for many years themselves.
The collective mission of your dedicated outpatient team is clear and unwavering. It is to facilitate your swift return to sobriety. Furthermore, this achievement is pursued with a steadfast commitment to ensuring that your newfound sobriety is sustainable and enduring.
This holistic, multi-faceted approach from the addiction clinic ensures you receive unparalleled support while on our outpatient program.
You are not just a case; you are an individual with unique challenges and strengths. Our team is committed to unlocking your potential for a revitalised life.
From Monday to Friday, you will join psychotherapy and relapse prevention sessions. These can be done from home via Zoom or phone. You are welcome to visit our clinic in person. The Addiction Clinic is more affordable than a six-week private residential rehab program.
We offer after-hours appointments. Please note a two-week wait for sessions between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
I was drinking to blackout at least for 4 times a week with countess attempts to stop drinking and different recovery groups. The program of cognitive behavioral therapy, Relapse Prevation and Sober Coaching changed everything. I have been sober for 5 years and dont think about drinking or have the need to go to any meetings. I was shocked at how fast this program worked and how effective it was.

This highlights the significant variation in costs, which can be affected by factors like the qualifications of staff available, the intensity of the programs, and the location of the facility.
At a private rehabilitation center, you’ll find specialists such as psychotherapists, psychologists, and social workers, similar to those at the addiction clinic.
In contrast, 12-step programs are predominantly staffed by members of the Alcoholics Anonymous community.

Our six-week program is akin to that of a private non-12-step rehab but allows you to engage without needing to leave home or disrupt your daily commitments, and is more affordable than a private rehab.
This approach often involves the use of benzodiazepine. Diazepam is frequently the preferred choice.
This medication helps to gradually reduce the body’s reliance on alcohol. A typical treatment course lasts between five and seven days. This carefully managed reduction is proven to lower the risk of serious complications.
These complications can include seizures and delirium tremens. In New Zealand, the medical community commonly adopts this benzodiazepine tapering strategy.
An alternative to a purely at-home approach is an outpatient detox service. These services provide structured support outside of a hospital setting. We maintain connections with medical professionals who specialise in assisting individuals with outpatient detoxification.
This option allows for supervised management of withdrawal symptoms. Discussions about suitable treatment pathways, including outpatient services, will be held with you.
We will explore all available avenues to ensure you receive the most appropriate care. Your individual needs will guide the selection of the best detox method for you.
