The Addiction Clinic

Methamphetamine Treatment.

Our Outpatient Methamphetamine Treatment program operates five days or nights a week, including weekend phone check-ins throughout the month. You can participate either in person or through Zoom or phone.

Methamphetamine (d-methamphetamine, crystal meth, or meth) is a synthetic stimulant that affects the central nervous system.

The drug’s mechanism operates similarly to that of other stimulants; its consumption triggers substantial releases of neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine and dopamine (along with various other neurotransmitters), resulting in several intensely euphoric effects, heightened energy levels, sensations of invulnerability, and additional psychoactive effects.

Due to its impact on the neurotransmitters, methamphetamine is highly addictive, which can lead to serious mental health problems. The effects of its use on cardiovascular health include coronary artery disease, heart failure, and a heightened risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Methamphetamine Treatment Program.

The Addiction Clinic‘s methodology for treating methamphetamine addiction is widely recognized as the foremost initiative of its kind across New Zealand. This recognition stems from its deviation from the typical frameworks of residential rehabilitation centers.

Unlike traditional residential rehab facilities that emphasize group therapy while providing minimal attention to individual needs, our meth addiction treatment program distinguishes itself by offering you a personal and dedicated team of specialists in the realm of meth addiction treatment.

You will work with a prominent New Zealand Psychotherapist who specializes in Methamphetamine Treatment.

The addiction clinic employs Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that can alter brain activity and reshape your neural pathways, resulting in modifications to your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Neural pathways serve as the communication network of the brain, formed by interconnected neurons that transmit signals across the brain and body, thereby shaping your present state of reality.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is globally acknowledged by medical professionals and cognitive behavioral specialists as the premier intervention for meth dependence.

Our distinguished clinicians possess an outstanding understanding of methamphetamine and will promptly tackle the underlying cause of your meth addiction.

In addition to the psychotherapist’s extensive expertise, a senior addiction counselor complements the team.

This senior staff member has received comprehensive training in the treatment of drug addiction, specifically focusing on relapse prevention, and works with you daily to formulate strategies for managing risks.

Establishing coping mechanisms is essential to ensure long-term recovery for individuals.

Our evidence-based outpatient rehabilitation program employs a sophisticated three-phased strategy for addressing drug addiction.
